The UEFA Champions League is all set to return on the 7th August with a doubleheader in which Ronaldo’s Juventus will look to overturn a one-goal deficit against Lyon while the competition’s most successful side, Real Madrid head to the Etihad in order to come back from the 2-1 loss they faced at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu before Covid-19 brought football to halt. The last stages are scheduled to take place in Lisbon and on the 10th of July, UEFA conducted a draw to determine the fixture list for the semis and finals.
LA LIGA ENTERS ITS FINAL WEEK
The La Liga has reached its conclusion with the last 2 matchdays scheduled in a way that almost all 10 matches kick off simultaneously. Real Madrid and Barcelona are the only 2 teams still in pursuit of the title with just 2 points separating Real from their 34th league title. If Real Madrid beat Villarreal on Thursday night or if Barcelona drop points to Osasuna. However, things are more interesting lower down the table with the race for the Europa League seats wide open with just 4 points separating Getafe in 6th from Granada in 10th.
