1. John Wick
This film follows the story of an ex-assassin who retired to have another chance at a normal life. Everything seems to be going fine until John comes across a gang to whom he refuses to sell his car. The gang insulted, track him down break into his house stealing the car and killing his dog along the way. The dog was the only thing he cared about, it was a gift to him from his dying wife. Unable to cope with the death of the dog John swears to find everyone involved in the killing and avenge his fallen dog. The choreography in this film is phenomenal with fight scenes being action-packed and filled with tension and suspense. No one could’ve portrayed John Wick better than Keanu Reeves himself who does an outstanding job as the ex-assassin.
2. Kingsman: Secret service
This over the top blood spy and gore film has made a name for itself in the industry. This action thriller is quirky, funny, bold, action-packed and over the top crazy. It is what any Bond fan could’ve ever asked for. The unique choreography is what makes it stand out compared to other films. The movie is filled with a talented and lovable cast. Kingsman is a highly advanced independent secret service unaligned with the government. It was founded by high-end tailors looking to maintain world security to ensure a market for their shop. It may sound preposterous but you buy into it because one reason the movie is beloved is because of its wacky and unbelievable plot!
3. Matrix
“The Matrix” is a visually stunning piece of art with its jaw-dropping visuals and cyber-enhanced world. Just when the movie reaches its climax it retreats to the standard formula of the protagonist losing the will to fight but at the end finds the inner will to fight back( but it is rare to see it done so well). This does not ruin the enjoyment of the rest of the movie as not only are the first two halves of the movie thrilling their cliffhangers make you crave for more, taking the action genre to a whole other level. The mind-boggling plot captures your attention at all times by throwing in problematic intriguing scenarios for our protagonist every time the movie may seem to go slow. Its momentum is never lost and the fun well-choreographed sequences push this movie to the next level.
