Wubba lubba dub dub! After the amazing ending to season 4 with the vat of acid episode and the historical fight of phoenix person and rick fans started wondering about the next season. People watching the adult swim comic con got to see the first scene of Rick and Morty season 5. The clip starts off with rick and Morty having a near-death experience, so it’s basically like every other episode but this time rick seems to be giving up but luckily Morty gets to the ship and they start crash landing into the earth’s atmosphere where they find out that the ships life support systems are failing. Morty wastes no time and calls his high school crush Jessica and tells her that he wished he could get to know her better. As Jessica claims that she felt the same way Morty turns the ship and crashes into the ocean. Rick then wakes up asking Morty where they are. Morty tells him that they crashed into Earths Ocean and rick seems furious as that is the home to his nemesis named “mr.nimbus”. He seems like an Aquaman rip off and he keeps telling rick about how he broke the treaty between land and sea. In regards of the release dates co-founder Dan Harmon said that for the first time in the history of the show they are ahead of schedule. The only set-back they are facing is how tedious it is to edit and animate the videos on zoom calls. While the scripts of season 6 are nearly done, there isn’t a definite date for the release of season 5 but we expect at least the first half of season 5 to be released towards the end of this year but who knows what Justin Roiland could have up his sleeve.
