If you’ll read one of our previous articles about the focals by north (https://www.myscoop.in/post/focals-by-north-the-movies-futuristic-tech-made-real) you will understand the concept of smart glasses and India’s very own company, Jio, is cooking something similar which is a worthy mention. Jio’s glasses seem bulkier when compared to others like the Google glasses but it has more buttons that increase the functionality of them. The company has not revealed the processors or parts yet but it is rumoured to run as many as 25 applications.
For its audio, they are going to use spatial XR audio on both speakers each placed on one side. There is also a camera between the 2 lenses which can be used to send that video feed onto a live meeting or even send it to a paired smartphone. The Jio glass will use augmented and virtual reality where the user will be able to use 3D diagrams in their day to day lives. Jio believes this product can be very helpful for online classes as it can be used to visit many geographical/historical sites virtually and these glasses will also be linked with their new educational platform called “embibe”. The glasses will also have voice control and can make calls and send messages when tethered to a phone using Ethernet or Wi-Fi. Jio hasn’t specified any of the parts or the prices.
If you'll would like us to make another article describing the parts and power of it and if it’s worth the price then leave a message in the comments below. Thank you!
