The world continues to struggle to fight Covid-19. While cases in India are increasing exponentially. However, amid all of these factors, India still has various schemes in place to help India develop post-COVID era. The first scheme is by Arvind Kejriwal’s government in Delhi to set up a plasma bank at the Institute of Liver and biliary science. Delhi was the first to give approval of plasma therapy to treat Covid-19 patients. India also received two awards for its Artificial Intelligence mygov corona helpline at the global leadership summit held in London.
On the other hand, Kerala has begun ‘Dream Kerala Project’ to develop Kerala using the brains and workforce of Kerallaties who repatriated to Kerala following COVID. In addition, Uttar Pradesh has also implemented the ‘Har Ghar Jal’ scheme under which every house in Bundelkhand will have water. Water is a major topic in India, as the World Bank has approved another loan of Rs. 3000 crores to clean the Ganga River. This makes the total cost of cleaning the Ganga is Rs. 7,835 crores. However, Rs.25,000 crores have been approved for 313 projects under the scheme. In addition, in the western ghats of North Karnataka, a new genus has been found by the name Waikhomia Hira. Joint research is being conducted by various institutions across the country as this genus is often found in Mahabaleshwar, Maharashtra.
